William Meeker Obituary
AGE: 58 • Bayville
William J. Meeker, age 58, of Bayville, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at home. He was a longtime resident of Bayville. No words can describe the many ways Billy touched and changed the lives of us all. He will be greatly missed. Bill had owned and operated Anchor Outboards, Bayville for many years and was owner and designer of American Showster Guitars.
Predeceased by his parents John and Janet Meeker, he is survived by his children Renee, William and Alexis Meeker; two grandchildren Abby and Lucas; his sister Sue Melia and her husband Kevin; nieces Lauren and Erin; and his beloved friends and family.
A special gathering will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 930 Main St. Bayville. The Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River is in charge of arrangements.

So very sorry to hear of Billy's passing. Not lived in NJ for 25 years. But still my tears flow for the loss after all that time of my old friend. Great memories though with him and Artie. We had some good times and lots of laughs. I won't see you again in this life but I will for sure in the next.

I must say uncle Bill you will always be in my heart! I miss u and will never forget your uncanny ability to make anyone smile. I still remember the tardy song you would routinely sing to us on our trips to school and can't help but laugh. Your memory will always live on!

Dear Renee, William and Alexis - I just found out about your Dad this week. My heart is broken as I truly loved Billy. He had a heart of gold and was always there for me. Never judgemental only caring and giving. I am so very sad and will miss him always. A truly wonderful man.

There is a hole in my heart that can never be filled. I miss the cigar smoking on the deck when we were making our separate plans for the future. You were going to be the guitar king and I was going to be a captain in the islands. You touched many lives and will be greatly missed my friend.

Billy, the man who saved me and told me i could do it when i wasn't so sure myself. he stood in front of me to lead me, beside me as my first true friend and behind me in encouragement. i will never forget him, and i will with honor always share his message that he freely shared with me for over 25 years. some days are so difficult to get through now but i know i am closer to seeing him again as i know he is with artie now.
