PAUL OLDHAM Obituary

PAUL OLDHAM Paul Allen Oldham won his battle with life on January 22, 2025, and reunited with his beloved wife, Patricia, who preceded him in death on September 23, 2005, when he passed away at the age of 83 at CoxHealth Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri. He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Oldham, Diane Heatley and her husband Mark, and Julie Oldham; a son, Rooney Oldham and his wife Pam; six grandchildren, Grace Heatley, Mary Murphy and her husband Logan, Matt Heatley and his wife Cheyene, Anne Heatley, Nicholas Oldham and his wife Maddie, and Jacob Oldham; and two great-grandchildren, Callum and Hallie Hazel Murphy. He was born October 9, 1941, and graduated from Liberty High School in the class of 1959. Paul accrued more friends and brightened more people's lives than he ever would have conceded. After retiring from the quarry industry, he volunteered at Liberty Hospital, at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, helping people with their finances and connecting them with food pantries, at Watkins Mill, giving tours and educating visitors about the historic site, as a Hospice aide, at the Literary Council in St. Louis tutoring adults in reading skills, and at member services at the Wildwood YMCA. In all that time, he imparted much wisdom to those close to him and never met a french fry that he didn't like. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Pregnancy Care Center, 1342 East Primrose Street, Suite C, Springfield, MO 65804. The visitation will be Wednesday evening, January 29th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be on Thursday morning, January 30th, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield, Missouri. The Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri, on Friday, January 31st, at 1 p.m. To paraphrase Patsy Cline, one of his favorite singers, he's back where he belongs, back in his baby's arms.
