Shirley Meadows Obituary
MILTON — Shirley Mae Meadows, 75, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
She was born Dec. 4, 1939, a daughter to the late John Ekers and Nettie Beaver Ekers. She worked at Ashton Elementary School for the Mason County Board of Education. She attended Guyan Church in Glenwood and was also a former Sunday School teacher there.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Lee Meadows; brother Floyd Ekers; and an infant sister.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Meadows, of Milton; sisters Rosa Hamilton and Mary Lou Hamper; brother John Ekers; special granddaughter Amanda Grant; and her son Dwight Grant. She will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Guyan Church in Glenwood, with the Rev. Mark Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the church between 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the service.
Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family.
