HUNTINGTON — Wanda Lou Dunn, 77, of Huntington, joined her husband in Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her children.
She was born April 23, 1941, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bart and Mildred Long.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roy Dunn and her sister, Doris Jones.
Wanda was first and foremost a homemaker, a gardener extraordinaire, and a talented artist. One of her proudest moments was going back to school and finishing her education, as well as the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her four legged companion, Panda Bear; her daughter, Theresa (Greg) Kindrick of Beckley; her son, Mike (Sharon) Dunn of Lavalette; her daughter, Marilyn (Gary) Rowe of Huntington; her daughter, Kathy (Mark) Holley of Hurricane; the grandchildren she loved, Adam, Richard, Jeremy, Kaci, Micah, Nick, Mariah, and Corey. Wanda is also survived by five loving sisters, Janet Bowen, Joy Nibert, Hope Benson of Apple Grove, Sharon Webb, Connie Hussell of Point Pleasant, and a host of nieces and nephews.
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you uninformed about those who sleep in death,
so that you do not
Grieve like the rest of mankind, Who have no hope.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
