LANCASTER — Carson W. Carter, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015. He was born Sept. 30, 1928, to the late Ephriam and Oma Dewberry Carter. He married Anna Barker Carter, who preceded him in death.
Carson is survived by daughters Pamela Glassburn, of Bidwell, and Norma Carter, of Lancaster; grandchildren Jane A. Brandeberry, of Bidwell, and Aimee (Mike) O'Bryan, of Bidwell; great-grandchildren Jamie Glassburn, Shelby Smittle, Chelsea Brown, Levi Brandeberry, Josh Glassburn, Cobi Brandeberry, Ty Smittle, Addison Glassburn and Laura O'Bryan; great-great-grandchild Tyson Jarrell; brother Kenneth (Macy) Carter, of Hartford, W.Va.; sisters-in-law Jeanette Weimann, of Lancaster, and Carolyn (Bill) Demoskey, of Middleport.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, J. C. Glassburn; brothers Henry Carter and Herman Carter; and sister, Margarett Legg.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Chapel, with Pastor Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell, with military graveside rites by Vinton American Legion Post 161. Friends may call the funeral home between 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I haven't seen Carter (that's what I always called him) for a long time but I used to have long talks with him & Ann when my grandpa lived across the street from them.
