Edith Daro Obituary

HUNTINGTON MILLS — Edith E. (Hillenbrand) Daro passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2016, surrounded by family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Fulda, Germany, on May 24, 1939, and came to America in 1957. She primarily resided in Palatka, Florida, and Huntington Mills in her most recent years.

Surviving are her children, Adele Hazur (daughter) and her fiance, Ken Schomp, and Thomas Daro (son), of Huntington Mills; stepfather, Thomas Jaworski, of Bayonne, New Jersey; grandchildren, Frank and Roberta Bello, of Berwick, Dave and Alicia (Daro) Kachmarski, of Dallas, Anthony Daro, of Palatka, Florida, Michael Hazur and fiancee, Jessica Moss, of Mocanaqua, Devin Hazur, of Shickshinny, Kevin Daro, of Fleming Island, Florida; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Thomas Daro, and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Neil Daro, Palatka, Florida, and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Pine Grove Cemetery, on Cemetery Hill Road, in Shickshinny. The services will be officiated by Pastor Rick DiLena.
