Alvina Frangoulis Obituary

Alvina Diane Frangoulis of Bowie, MD died on October 4, 2025, at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville. She was 80.

She was born in Bowie, MD on March 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Alvin Ulysses Harman and Edris Mae Baker. She was a graduate of DuVal High School in Greenbelt, MD.

Mrs. Frangoulis worked her entire career for the City of Bowie in the City Manager's Office as Executive Office Assistant. She retired in 2017.

Her hobbies included gardening and keeping caring for her home, and she really liked her dog "Cobe".

She is survived by her sons: Gus A. Frangoulis, Jr. of Chestertown, MD and Philip L. Frangoulis of Bowie, MD, three sisters: JoAnn M. Ciprich of Bowie, MD, Jackie Holland of Clinton, MD, and Hope Foster of Georgia along with her grandchildren: Anthony, Angela, Jesse, Adaleen, and Trystin Frangoulis, and a great granddaughter: Isabelle Frangoulis.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 12th at 1:00 PM at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Road Chestertown, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Compass Regional Hospice 160 Coursevall Dr. Centreville, MD 21620. Others are invited to view the livestream of the service on her page at www.fhnfuneralhome.
