Timothy Wiltbank Obituary

Timothy "Tim" Yost Wiltbank died suddenly and unexpectedly of cardiac arrest on November 24, 2024 at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Tim was born on June 30, 1952 in Chestertown, the son of William Charles Wiltbank and Martha Yost Wiltbank. He grew up on a dairy and grain farm a few miles north of Chestertown. For most of his adult life he resided in South Mountain, Pennsylvania.

Tim graduated from Chestertown High School in the last graduating class in 1971. He attended Allegany Community College in Cumberland, Maryland and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in Forestry on May 25, 1975. He started working for the State of Pennsylvania at the South Mountain Restoration Center as a boiler operator on June 12, 1976. He continued to work there until June 25, 2012.

In addition to his parents, Tim was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, the former Linda Everett. Tim is survived by his siblings, Teresa Bostic (Dudley) of Chestertown, MD, Toni Witzemann (Bill) of Belington, WV, William Ted Wiltbank (Pamela Peters) of Belington, WV, and Thomas Wiltbank (Tammy) of Chestertown, MD. Also, Tim is survived by two stepsons, Jay and Gary Walls, and three step-grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, and Teddy and their families. In addition, Tim is survived by one aunt, Gloria Clayton, and his many cousins with whom he maintained cherished friendships. He is survived by two nieces, two nephews and six great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two nephews.

A visitation will be held at Galena Funeral Home from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, November 29. The funeral service will begin at 11 am on Saturday, November 30, and will be officiated by Reverend Vonnie Paxton. Following the service, burial will be at the Kennedyville Methodist Church Cemetery.
