Ann Marie Schmidt

1960 - 2024

Ann Marie Schmidt of Sudlersville, MD passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on October 10, 2024. She was 64 years old.

She was born in Michigan on September 16, 1960, the daughter of Jean Koryciak and Harry Schaeffer. She graduated from Farmington High School in Farmington, MI with the class of 1978. After graduating, she lived in California for some time before moving to Maryland in the late 1980s, where she met her husband, Francis Schmidt. The two were married on February 6, 2002.

She worked as a dental hygienist at Centreville Family Dentistry, where she built connections amongst many clients throughout Queen Anne's County. She then finished out her career with Carr Family Dentistry in 2023. She was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats, including her beloved lab, Boss Hog. She was an independent woman and a loving caregiver, enjoying her time spent at home and taking care of her husband. Ann had a love for family like no other. She was actively involved in sporting events, school functions, and social gatherings, pertaining to her grandson, Noah. She was extremely proud of her son Joe, who was her pride and joy. Ann is remembered for being loving, sweet, positive, and a joy to be around.

In addition to her loving husband, Francis Schmidt, she is survived by her parents, Harry and Jean Schaeffer; her son, Joseph St. Pierre; grandson, Noah St. Pierre; brothers, Michael and Chuck Schaeffer; and sister, Sue Kremer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann's name may be made to Queen Anne's County Animal Services at 201 Clay Dr. Queenstown, MD 21658.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Rd Chestertown, MD 21620 where friends and family may call one hour prior, from 12pm to 1pm.
