Anthony Dominick "Tony" Rossi

1926 - 2022

Anthony "Tony" Dominick Rossi of Queenstown, MD passed away on December 15, 2022 at the age of 96. He was born on November 27, 1926 in Greensburg, PA to the late Frank and Mary Rossi.

He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Tri State College, now Trine University, after serving 4 years in the United States Army. He raised his family in Linthicum and Ellicott City, Maryland and retired to the eastern shore in 1985.

He worked for Westinghouse and NASA, where he helped build and deploy the first weather satellites before briefly joining The Consumer Product Safety Commission.

He was a boxer in his earlier years, and when it came to golfing, he didn't let his age hinder his passion. Tony continued to play golf up until a month shy of his passing.

Along with his parents, Tony is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Rita (Callahan) Rossi, and 10 siblings. He is survived by his children, Margaret (Gary) Reedy of Dagsboro, DE, Frank Rossi of Atlanta, GA, Janet Rossi of Cabin John, MD, Karen (Arthur) Charron of Bel Air, MD, and JoAnn (Peter) Carroll of Bowie, MD, as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Chester, followed by a funeral Mass to begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.
