Brian Lucas Obituary

Brian Stewart Lucas of Glen Burnie, MD died Tuesday Dec. 15, 2020. He was 35.

Brian was born Aug. 16, 1985 in Easton, MD the son of Nora Mae Cannon and the late John Spencer Lucas. He graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in 2003 where he was a member of the football team, and earned certifications in both welding and HVAC. Brian then went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Salisbury University in 2009. Brian enjoyed a career with Valley Lighting in Linthicum, Maryland as an estimator and installer. Throughout his life, Brian was known for being a great friend with a big heart, always taking in stray animals and helping his friends and peers. He enjoyed fishing, golf, trap shooting, and going to concerts. An avid traveler, Brian drove solo cross country and back following his college graduation. In his youth, Brian was a 4Her, a junior member of the Church Hill Volunteer Fire Dept., and he became a member of the Church Hill United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Lucas, maternal grandparents, Edward and Helen Cannon, paternal grandparents, Erdman and Marie Lucas, and two uncles, Michael A. Cannon and Stewart E. Cannon.

He is survived by his mother, Nora Cannon of Centreville, MD, his son, Zachary Lucas of Centreville, MD, sister, Tara Hatch (Bryan) of Denton, MD, two nephews, Henry and L.B. Hatch both of Denton, MD, an aunt, Sara Clark (Donald) of Centreville, MD, two uncles, Daniel T. Cannon (Sandra) of Camden, DE, and Steve Lucas (Lena) of Church Hill, MD, five cousins, Tina (Steven), Bill (Amy), Ginni (Trey), Kimberly (Justin), Michael (April) and their families, his work family at Valley Lighting and extra sister Shelly Starkey.

A visitation will be held Sat. Jan. 2, 2021 from 11 AM-1 PM at Fellows Family Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD. A private Celebration of Life will begin at 1 PM. Private burial will follow the Celebration of Life in Church Hill Cemetery in Church Hill, MD.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to the Church Hill Vol. Fire Dept. P.O. Box 66 Church Hill, MD 21623 or to your local Humane Society. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
