Edward Tribull Obituary

Edward Francis Tribull, Jr., "Ed" of Grasonville, formerly of Annapolis, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 11th, 2025, after a seven-year battle against colon cancer. He was an incredible husband, the best dad, and a brand new Poppop. Ed was born on September 24th, 1966 to Edward Sr. and Gail Tribull in Baltimore. He was raised in Arnold and graduated from Severna Park High School in 1984. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After completing his military service, he began a successful 35-year career in the construction business, most recently as a Superintendent for Garney Construction. Some of the best years of Ed's life were spent as a coach for Jacob's sports teams. He coached youth football for Cape St. Claire Cougars and for General's Highway Tigers; youth lacrosse for Bay Area Youth Sports; and youth basketball for Cape St. Claire Cougars. "Coach Ed" led his teams to several championships and loved providing mentorship to his youth athletes. Ed was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1384 in Annapolis and a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. Ed is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 35 years, Elizabeth (Beth, nee Justice) and they were excited to plan an anniversary trip to Hawaii this summer. He was a devoted caregiver to his eldest daughter, Shelby, who was injured in a car accident in 1999. In addition to Beth and Shelby, he is also survived by his daughter, Jenna (Matthew) Moore of Oklahoma City, OK and son, Jacob (fiancee- Anna Cawood) of Columbia, MD. Ed was thrilled to welcome his first grandchild, Virginia Moore, in March. Additionally he is survived by his mother, Gail, brother, Jim, and his fur-babies, Yeti, Gibson, and Tucker, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ed Sr in January. Ed's family would like to thank his care team, specifically Dr. Glen Gibson and Dr. Jason Taksey, for ensuring Ed met the milestones that meant the world to him. Between their expertise and Ed's will to live, he was able to attend Jacob's high school and college graduations, Jenna's medical school graduation, Jacob's medical school White Coat Ceremony, Jenna's wedding and the birth of his granddaughter Virginia. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, June 26th at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Church in Annapolis with a luncheon immediately following at the church. A private burial will take place in Crisfield. The Wellness House of Annapolis has been a wonderful resource to the Tribull family during Ed's illness. Please consider supporting this organization in Ed's honor.
