Ida Supers Obituary

SUDLERSVILLE - Ida Mae Supers of Sudlersville passed away on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. She was 97.
Born on Jan. 5, 1921, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Bryan and Kate Thompson Bowers. She attended school in Barclay through eighth grade and began helping on the family farm. Mrs. Supers spent many years as a homemaker and later went to work for Playtex and retired after 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was very dedicated to raising her family and taking care of her home. She especially loved having big dinners for her birthday and holidays and going to see Elvis with her sister Annie whenever he was in the area.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Pyle and husband Wayne of Millington; three sons, Edward Supers and wife Sandy of Bridgeville, Del., David Supers and wife Mattie of Sudlersville and Robert Supers and wife Karen of Hudson, Wisc.; two sisters, Lavina Dulin of Centreville and; Katherin Faulkner of Hartly, Del.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Chester Ray Supers, in 1980; a son, Chester "Ray" Supers Jr.; and two brothers, Bryan Bowers Jr. and Kenny Bowers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Fellows Family Funeral Home, Millington. Interment was in Sudlersville Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 61, Sudlersville, MD 21668.
