Roberta Appenzeller Obituary
Bertie was a homemaker, famous for her cooking, especially her delicious apple pies. She was a devoted farmer's wife to Austin C. Appenzeller, who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother of two, beloved grandmother to five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Michael D Appenzeller and his wife Donna, of Sudlersville, MD; her daughter, Patricia Appenzeller Sherman and her husband James, of Centreville, MD; her grandchildren: Joshua Appenzeller and his wife Jessica; Jeremy Appenzeller and his wife Kara; Morgan Hannold and her husband Bill; Jamie Ensor and her husband Daniel; and Chelsea Sherman. She also had five great-grandchildren whom she adored: Garrett, Grayson and Edie Appenzeller, Avery and Maya Ensor.
There was a graveside service at Barretts Chapel in Frederica, DE, on Friday, Aug. 3.
