Susan Paladenic Obituary
February 2, 1950 - August 23, 2024
Susan Joyce Paladenic (nee DePauw) passed away peacefully at her home on August 23, 2024 at the age of 74. She was born on February 2, 1950 to LTC Wilbur & Virginia DePauw in Bellevue, NE.
As the daughter of an Army Officer, Susan spent her childhood traveling from military installation to military installation in Nebraska, Texas, France, and Arizona. She came to Sierra Vista a second time as a high school student, and it is here that she made her home.
In 1980 Susan married Joe and together they continued to raise Susan's younger children Brian and Kari and Joe's adult children Jody, Diane and Renee. Together they made a beautiful home, shared a love of dogs and spending quality time with family.
Susan was a kind and caring woman, who was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, an aunt, a sister, a daughter and a friend. She was woman who deeply loved all children and animals, and cared for them with a generous heart. To so many, she was simply "Meema".
She will be greatly missed, but the love she shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.
The family will honor the memory of Susan in a private gathering.
