Dolores Cannon Obituary
Winchester - Dolores Marie Cannon, 88 of Winchester passed away Tuesday morning June 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 28, 1935 in Jacksonville, IL the daughter of the late Henry F. and Letha A. Slagle Kaehlert. Dolores attended rural elementary schools and graduated from Winchester High School.
She married David Cannon, and they later divorced.
Dolores was a self employed beautician in her home, and also as hairdresser at several area nursing homes.
She was a member all her life at Winchester Assembly of God where she played the organ, piano and accordion. She also served on the church board for many years.
Surviving are her children, twins Karen (Jay) Howard of Pawnee, Karla Cannon of Winchester, and Bryan (Tammy) Cannon of Winchester. Four grandchildren, Christina Held, Dylan Held, Hannah Cannon, and Casi Howard, three great grandchildren, Logan, Rebecca, and Hattie May and an honorary granddaughter, Brianna Blakey.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Barbara Gray.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday June 28, 2024 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in the Winchester City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Winchester EMS or Winchester Fire Department.
