Donald Dirks Obituary
Donald Dirks, 89 passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024.
Born on May 9, 1935, to Frank and Louise Dirks, Don grew up on a farm in Newmansville with his sisters Hazel and Alice.
Don graduated from Chandlerville High School and joined the army. He was stationed in Alaska and grew to love the state and its weather. He married Gwendolyn Carlock from Chandlerville.
He is survived by his seven children: Leslie, sons Adam and Matthew, Terry, children Kayla & Steven, Darcy (Arnold), son Teddy (William), Ryan, son Brandon, Billie Jo, children Abby, Amiee, Kurtus & Lilly, Christopher (Heather, daughter Cali & son Nathaniel, David, children, Alex.Brice, Maya & Presley. He has14 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
We will be getting together as a family on Sunday, October 13th from 2-4pm at the New Life church in Virginia to celebrate his life and would like to invite you to join us to share memories and Dads favorite desserts. Dress casual and you will find us in the basement. Back door guests are welcome.

Sorry to hear of Don's passing. One of the good guys. Great conversationalist, very smart. Enjoyed his company many times, years ago. Once sold him two older Honda motorcycles. My condolences to his family.
He will be missed by many.
