Donna Campbell Obituary

Donna Lynn Elizabeth Campbell, 56, of Jacksonville, passed away on September 6, 2025 with her family by her side. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
She was born April 17th, 1969 in Charleston, South Carolina to Kathryn Thomas and Arnold Dunlap. Though she made her home in Illinois for many years, her heart was always happiest near the ocean waves and sandy shores of the beaches in the Carolinas.
Donna's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three children, James (Brandy) Campbell of Berlin, Georgeanna (Derek) Jones, and Matthew Campbell, both of Jacksonville; her siblings Joye (Ray) Overton of Jacksonville and Clinton (Jeffrey) Griffin of Auburn; and her treasured grandchildren, Jameson, Vada, Dalilah, Lainey, Callum, and Maverick, who brought light and laughter to her life. She loved being a mother, and shared a particularly close bond with Cheyenne Jones of Jacksonville, who she loved as one of her own. She was preceded in death by her parents. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
A woman of quiet faith and enduring love, Donna will be remembered for her tenacity and perseverance through life's challenges.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on September 13th, 2025 at The Lord's Congregation in Jacksonville. Donna will be cremated in accordance with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
