Gary Lonergan Obituary
He was born Sept. 22, 1962, in Jacksonville, the son of Edward and Judith Godfrey Lonergan. Gary married Yvette Culp on May 10, 1997, in Jacksonville, and she survives.
Mr. Lonergan is also survived by two sons, Chuck Lonergan and Bryan Brogdon, both of Jacksonville; two daughters, Nicollette Stewart of Waverly and Kayla Brogdon of Jacksonville; two sisters, Vicki (husband, Chris) Jones of Lusk, Wyo., and Gail (husband, Terry) Goodall of Manchester; and his beloved granddaughter, Hailey Faith Lonergan of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Lonergan previously worked at Celanese Manufacturing in Meredosia, Family Gardens in Jacksonville, he was the manager of Rolling Acres in Jacksonville and he owned Transition Audio along with his son, Chuck, also in Jacksonville. He currently was employed by Asphalt Stone Company in Jacksonville and a member of Local 150. Gary loved riding his Harley-Davidson, boating at Lake Norfork in Arkansas and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. As a true "gearhead," he enjoyed fixing and customizing his big boy toys, and he loved all types of music, especially the 70s and 80s. Gary loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Hailey, his beloved dogs, Harley, Shorty, Lucy and Chico, his cat Oreo, and ending the day with a Jack and Coke.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with private burial of ashes to take place at a later date. The family will meet friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the American Heart Association. Condolences may be left at www.airsman-hires.com. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.

Yvette...I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We just went out to Subway and the boys were asking where you were and one of your workers told us. The boys did not want to get pizza cause only you can fix it right (not burnt). There are no words that can help the pain right now but God will be with you through this difficult time. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Gail,Vicki,and Family: I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I haven't seen him in years but remember him and I being "Best Friends" when we were little. I had already heard last night but Deanna called today to tell me and we reminisced about old times.You are all in my prayers and thoughts.

I am very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. My sister, Charlene Kaufmann called me and told me. I haven't seen Gary for a long time. We have lived in Kansas for the last 30 years. Please know you all and Gary will have my prayers.
