Hunter Holmes Obituary
He was born April 16, 1999, in Jacksonville, the son of Benjie and Sandy Gallion Holmes.
He is survived by his parents of Virginia; his paternal grandfather, Larry Holmes of Bath; and two brothers, Brock Holmes of Pleasant Plains and Dalton Holmes of Virginia.
Hunter was a 2017 graduate of Virginia High School and was employed at Casey's General Store in Virginia. He enjoyed playing on his computer, playing video games and watching movies. He also loved to travel, going to shows in Branson, miniature golf and go-karts. He had the biggest heart of anyone you'll ever meet.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia. The family will meet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to U.S. Autism and Asperger Association. Condolences may be left at buchanancody.com.

I worked with Hunter and he was one of the friendliest people I've ever known. He was always sweet and helpful. My heart aches for his family. So many people cared for Hunter and he will be greatly missed by his community.

Benji, Sandy, Brock, and Dalton. I can't express how sorry I am for your loss. I loved Hunter, and always felt like he was one of those kids that found his way into my heart as a teacher. He always had a smile to greet me and I don't know of anyone who didn't like him. He was quiet most of the time but had a quick wit and a creative imagination.
I know everyone says it, but everyone means it too. If there is anything I can do, let me know. He was one of "my" kids. My last class before retiring.
