Although I had not seen Jim for a very long time, I will always remember his kindness and sweet smile. We attended school together at good old Lynnville and his musical ability was phenomenal way back then. He was truly amazing when he sat down to play. I admired his talent so much, and though I took lessons for a couple of years, I could never accomplish what Jim was able to so naturally and beautifully. Fortunately, many years later having moved back here from Arizona, I saw Jim´s grandson Doug who I had not seen since he was very young and was now married with a family of his own. Doug´s wife Leslie and I taught for the Jacksonville School District. She taught a few of my grandchildren at Eisenhower School. I mention this because Doug and his family are a wonderful family, and I am certain Jim was very proud of them all. Sending prayers for comfort and peace for all during this difficult time.
