VIRGINIA — Kathleen G. "Kathy" Wzientek, 68, of Virginia died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at her home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1952, in Jacksonville, the daughter of David C. Sinclair and Lois Ann Nottingham Alexander. She married Tony L. Wzientek on Aug. 15, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Dave Miller of Virginia; two grandchildren, Clayton Jay Miller and Alexis N. Miller, both of Petersburg; and three sisters, Bonnie (Steve) Herrin of Newton, Iowa, Kathy's twin, Coni (Dale) Cox of Virginia, and Mary Ann (Ron) Brockhouse of Virginia.
Kathy was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia, where she had served as a deacon and was a member of the Service Guild. She enjoyed working at Dollar General in Virginia. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Ozzie.
A graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. Memorials are suggested to PAWS of Jacksonville or to First Presbyterian Church of Virginia. Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia is in charge of arrangements. Kathy was such a sweet lady always talked to her at the DG, we would talk railroad talk cause her husband had worked on the railroad and my husband works on the railroad, we always had stories to talk about, going to miss seeing her and talking to her, Prayers to the family

Katy was a very nice lady and will be dearly missed. I worked with her when we were election judges, and she was working with my son at Dollar General, but I have known her all my life. My heart is absolutely breaking for her entire family. I am sending love to all of the family.
