Kenneth Standley Obituary

Kenneth W. Standley
Jacksonville - Kenneth W. Standley 84 of Piedmont, SC formerly of Jacksonville, IL passed away October 6, 2025, at St. Francis Downtown Hospital in Greenville, SC. He was born January 20, 1941, in Jacksonville, the son of Walter and Lorena Standley of Concord. He married Mary Lathom of Ashland on August 17, 1963, at St. Augustine Church in Ashland. She preceded him in death in 2015.
He is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Dick) Tannahill of Murrayville, Tina (late Ed) Ray of Easley, SC and Patti Ervin (Jamie) of Piedmont, SC. Four grandchildren, Will Tannahill, Logan (Katie) Tannahill, Mary Margaret (Jonathan) Sparks, Jessica (Joe) Dozpat. Five great grandchildren with another on the way, Marlie and Blake Tannahill, Avery Tannahill, Edee Sparks, Jameson and little girl Dozpat. One sister, Lee David of Dudley, MA. One brother, Roger (Donna) Standley of Wildwood, MO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son, Wayne T. Standley, son-in-law Ed Ray, two brothers, Loren and Donald Standley and his parents.
Ken served in the US Navy. He worked at EMI known as "Woody" until his retirement. He was a Boy Scout leader, enjoyed wood working, camping and family game nights with his extended families who all called him Greatest.
Graveside services will be held November 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Concord Cemetery, with family meeting friends at Prairieland Heritage on Michigan St in Jacksonville following. A meal will be provided. Memorials may be made to the family. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
