Lori Joyce Obituary

Lori Ann Joyce, 53, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Jacksonville, to Charles "Bud" and Mary Williams, and her mother survives. She married Gale Joyce on Aug. 4, 1978, in Greenfield, and he survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Leah Joyce of Collinsville; and a son, Joel Joyce of Greenfield; two sisters, Diana (Steve) Schirz of Greenfield and Julie Myers of Keosauqua, Iowa; two brothers, Kevin (Diane) Williams of Rockbridge and Jeff Williams of Godfrey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her dad.

Lori worked for many years for her dad at Williams Propane Co. in Greenfield, before purchasing it and naming it Williams Gas Co. She graduated from Greenfield High School Class of 1977, and was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Greenfield.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield, and funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Wood Cemetery, north of Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Faith Bible Church or the Brenda Lewis-Axiom Ministries.
