Jacksonville - Maria "Olga" Pyatt, 89, of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Scott County Nursing Center in Winchester. She was born February 24, 1934, in El Paso, Texas the daughter of Jesus and Socorro Grado. She was raised by her grandmother, Mikaila Chavira. She married Jack Pyatt in El Paso, Texas in 1960 and they later divorced.
She is survived by a son, Mark (Valerie) Pyatt of Jacksonville; grandson, Eric (Brittany Krueger) Moran of Murrayville; great granddaughter, Brinley Krueger of Murrayville; a daughter, Linda Irlam of Jacksonville; granddaughters, Ashley (TJ) of Minnesota, Amber and Nicole of Springfield; and grandson, Christopher of Springfield.
Olga graduated from Yesletta High School in El Paso, Texas. She retired from Bound to Stay Bound Book Bindery in 2001 where she worked for 31 years. She enjoyed her retirement by watching the St. Louis Cardinals, her favorite wrestlers, John Cena and The Rock, and later on, cartoons with the little one on TV, her great granddaughter Brinley. When she was younger, Olga was a member of the County Line Dancers Club where she enjoyed boot kicking and made several friends throughout the years. Olga was known for being ornery and having an infectious laugh. She never missed a good party involving cake. She was very proud of her family and displayed numerous pictures throughout her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Eldred Memorial Gardens.
