April and Family, I sent you and brief note and card, but wanted to send this e-mail. The obit was beautifully written. Shirley always worried about Richard and shared her fears with her friends always. I pray for you all in your grief. Richard did so many good things in his brief life.

I grew up with Rich in the same neighborhood and met him in first grade. He would always make you laugh. A few of us got in trouble for pushing chairs in the classroom at recess and were sent to the principal's office. After the lecture and walking back to the classroom, I'll always remember the big grin on his face. Condolences to his family. RIP Richard.
