Rosemarie Long Obituary
SPRINGFIELD — Rosemarie Long, 79, of Sherman passed away at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
She was born July 11, 1941, in Springfield to Jack B. and Stella M. (Sicilia) Feleccia. She married John "Jack" H. Long on Aug. 10, 1963.
Rosemarie is survived by her husband; two sons, Brad Long of Springfield and Brian (Lori) Long of Sherman; five grandchildren, Valerie Scheina, Anthony Long, Feleshia Long, Hayley Long and Payton Long; three great-grandchildren, Cassidy Scheina, Bella Scheina and Bryleigh Rose Scheina; two sisters, Mary (Charles) Choate of Springfield and Betty Jo (Thomas) Blasko of Springfield; one brother, Thomas (Toni) Feleccia of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Although she did not have a daughter, she very much cared for her daughter-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Stella.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at St. Aloysius Church with the Rev. Clint Honkomp, O.P., officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
