William Foiles Obituary
Jacksonville - William L. "Bill" Foiles, 82, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, at his residence. He was born, March 29, 1943, in Kampsville, the son of Lawrence D. and Leota O. Angel Foiles. He married Janet C. Hoots, Oct. 8, 1961, at the Bloomfield Baptist Church.
Surviving is wife, Janet of Jacksonville; children, Jeffrey A. (Amy) Foiles of Jacksonville and Cheryl K. (Marc) Kuhn of Plymouth, IN; grandchildren, William Foiles, Camille Foiles, Anna (Chuck) Lampkins and Miranda (Bryce) Paxson; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Orr of Detroit and Doug Foiles of Lynnville.
Bill was a member and a deacon of the Woodson Baptist Church. He was employed at ACH/ Anderson Clayton as a truck driver for 40 years. After retirement, he drove part time for Bill Lawson. Bill enjoyed golfing, fishing, yard working and boating on the Illinois river.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville with interment in Summit Grove Cemetery in Kampsville. A visitation will be held 10 a.m., until time of services on Friday, at the funeral home. Upon return from Kampsville, a meal will be served at Woodson Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to Woodson Baptist Church.

I´ve known Billy for many years. Are used to go to the dances at the Legion in Bluffs with my parents. I worked with Bill at Anderson Clayton. I was a truck loading supervisor in the warehouse where the trucks are loaded. Dale was a wonderful man and a hard worker ,always smiling , But could have a temper. Sympathy and comfort to all of his family.
