Elizabeth A. Rancourt

Keene, NH - Elizabeth "Betty" A. Rancourt, 86, a longtime resident of West Chesterfield, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 at Covenant Living of Keene where she has resided for the past few months. Betty was born in Bellows Falls, VT on April 19, 1939, the daughter of Dwight and Amy (Wright) Bell. She attended Dummerston Elementary School and graduated from Brattleboro High School with the Class of 1957. For many years she was the office manager for John R. Mann, DDS where she retired following many years of faithful service. On March 1, 1958, in Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro, Betty was married to John M. Rancourt who survives. Betty enjoyed wintering with her husband in Lake Placid, FL, flower gardening, cruises to Alaska, was a Boy Scout troop leader for many years and holds many fond memories of her times in Kiawah Island, SC. Most of all, she cherished time with her family. With her husband, she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Besides her husband of 67 years, she leaves five sons: Kipp Rancourt (Amanda) of Chesterfield, NH, Todd Rancourt (Deborah) of Brattleboro, VT, Tayne Rancourt (Lisa) of West Chesterfield, NH, Tal Rancourt (Darlene) of Lake Placid, FL and Troy Rancourt (Doreen) of Westmoreland, NH; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by an infant son, Louis Dwight Rancourt, in 1958; two brothers, Francis and Malcolm Bell; and two sisters, Jean Gorsuch and Linda Tassinari. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Furman celebrant. Private burial will be at a later date.
