Mr. Hitchner was my 7th grade English teacher at Franklin High School. It was he who inspired me to become a teacher as well. He was the BEST teacher that I was fortunate enough to know. Middle school years are tough but his guidance and warmth was received by many and made those years great.
My sincerest condolences for you and your family.

My name is Josephine Madden (Italia) before I was married. Mr. Hitchner was my 7th grade English teacher. He had an incredible inpact on my life. I became an education major and later a 7th grade teacher due to his influence on my early educational years. I was never able to thank him for his guidance. I wish I hadn't waited this long.
Please accept my sincerest condolences. I only hope that he did not suffer for long. He was a wonderful teacher and a great role model.
Again, my sincerest condolences to his family.
Sincerely,
Josephine P.(Italia) Madden
