Joseph Davis Obituary

Joseph D. Davis Sr., 58, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, October 28. 2024. Born on October 21, 1966 in Keene, NH, he was the son of the late Leonard R. and Valma E. (LaBelle) Davis. Joseph grew up in Richmond and attended the Monadnock Regional High School. In his younger years, he worked as a logger, but he would later graduate from the 89th New Hampshire Police Academy and serve his hometown of Richmond as a Police Officer, as well as the surrounding towns of Winchester and Marlborough. He also worked as a machinist for Bridgeport Metal and Starrett Tool, and he also worked in the construction industry for Paragon, United and Hutter. He was a member of the Central Massachusetts Steam, Gas and Machinery Association and he was also a member of the historical reenactment group, the Pequawket Alliance. Joseph was also a passionate volunteer for the American Red cross. Joseph enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and hiking. A passion for playing the guitar, he played lead guitar for numerous bands including the Weathered Roads. He is survived by his sons Joseph D. Davis Jr. and Kyle J. Davis; sisters Wendy Davis Payne and Lynn Davis; brother Gary Davis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 12 at South Cemetery located at Athol Rd, Richmond, NH. Final arrangements are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Home, Chapel, and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.
