Keith Spofford Obituary

Keith Alan Spofford (Hill), a lifelong resident of Keene, NH, passed away on April 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and community.Born on November 28, 1971, in Keene, NH, to Wayne "Freddie" and Sharon (Duke) Spofford, Keith's infectious humanity touched everyone he met, and his dedication to helping others defined his 53 years. A proud Keene High School graduate of 1991, Keith grew up in the heart of his hometown, forging lifelong friendships and a deep connection to the community. His career took him to Rich's Department Store, Bootleggers, and ICU Medical, where his warmth and work ethic made him a beloved colleague. He brought light to those who worked alongside him. A devoted NASCAR fan, he cheered passionately for drivers Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon at the height of their careers. His love for the outdoors shone through in his meticulously tended yard, where he found joy in every bloom and blade of grass. That joy spilled over to his neighbors, whom he happily helped with their gardening, always with a smile and a ready hand. At home, Keith's heart belonged to his loyal companion, Lucy, a golden retriever-lab mix. Family meant everything to Keith, and he made it his mission to stay connected, no matter the distance. From close-knit gatherings to heartfelt calls with extended relatives – especially his cousin Becky, he cherished every bond. His ability to make everyone feel valued was a gift that leaves a lasting mark. He is survived by his cherished family, his mother: Sharon Spofford of Keene, NH; brothers: Brian Spofford and his wife Sara of Spofford, NH, and Erik Spofford and his wife Jenna of Chattanooga, TN; maternal grandmother: Amy Duke of Keene, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and countless friends. Keith was predeceased by his father, Wayne "Freddie" Alan Spofford and infant brother, Daniel Spofford. Calling hours for Keith will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH.
