We humbly pay tribute to the life of Loren David Forgue, who was born on December 4, 1948 in Hays Kansas to Edna and Emile Forgue. Loren left us suddenly on August 26, 2024 at his home in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. His departure leaves a legacy of love and integrity that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Loren is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 56 years, Virginia Caryl Forgue, his loving daughter, Kimberly Gilman (Forgue), his treasured grandsons; Zachary, Jakob, and Ryan Gilman and his siblings, Don and Lavina Forgue, Mike and Donna Forgue, as well as Norma Odell. He also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews with whom he was very close to. They celebrate his life and find comfort in the knowledge that he is now with his brother Kenneth, and beloved son, David Forgue, who preceded him in passing far too soon.
Throughout his career, Loren was a delivery driver with Pepsi, Schwans for just under 20 years and later showcased his meticulous nature as an exterminator at JP pest for almost another 20 years, where he eventually retired.
His true passion was classic cars, which was more than just a hobby, it was a testament to his appreciation for fine craftsmanship. Loren made friends everywhere he went and car shows were his true habitat. He was always tinkering around his garage or finding things to do around his home, which he took pride in.
A man of simple pleasures, Loren found enjoyment in the company of friends over coffee, traveling with his brothers, the excitement of watching basketball games, traveling with his wife and hanging out in his garage with his family. He was always smiling and found the positive in life.
Loren's big heart and seemingly endless supply of dry jokes and goofy remarks will live on in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, take some extra time to spend with your family and friends.
