Ronald Johnson Obituary
Ronald Joseph Johnson, 59, a lifelong resident of Keene, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday, September 7, 2025, with the love of his family near after a brief period of declining health. Ronald was born a son to the late Linda M. (Bourassa) and Peter E. Johnson on April 23, 1966, in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School, class of 1984. Ronald was known as a very hard worker. He spent many years working for Sterling Quality Cleaners as a licensed mold remediation specialist. He also enjoyed many years working as a painter for many different companies. Until one day, Ronald decided to become a proud owner of Johnson's Painting company, which he did for many years until he retired in 2022. Ronald loved spending his free time having barbeques, fires, and spending time with his family. He was a hard-working man who also was a big sport fanatic but his love for baseball and softball ran deep. Ronald was a big member of the baseball and softball communities. Beyond the decades he spent playing, he also spent many summers coaching youth baseball and later on men's softball teams. Later in life, once Ronald was a business owner, he sponsored numerous teams in the GKYBSA and the GKMSA. He was known as a "ballfield dad" to many throughout the years. He was also a member of the American Legion. Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Travis Johnson and his wife, Mandy of Keene, Nathan Johnson and his wife, Heather of Keene, and Tyler Johnson and his wife Cat of Marlborough. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sophia, Landon, Gavin, Braelen, and Brooks. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ronald was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Tammy Johnson who passed away on September 11, 2024. Calling hours will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. A private family burial will take place at Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene.
