Ruth Edson Obituary
On July 21st, 2025, Ruth Muriel Edson slipped the confining bonds of Earth to take her place in the eternal grace of heaven. Ruthie was born on April 3rd, 1937, in the little town of Bridgton Maine. Ruthie was one of many in a very loving and bustling family. Financial means were limited but love and compassion were abundant. Ruthie grew up immersed in music and surrounded by the talents of her parents and siblings. On many Saturday nights local friends and relatives would gather to hear the fiddles, guitars and the angelic voices of Ruthie and her sisters as they played and sang. Ruthie was raised by her parents Dick and Florence Knight. They were strong, determined, and loving parents and she learned many important life lessons that would help her to navigate the many challenges of her life. Ruthie embraced the spiritual love and role modeling that her parents o ered and she lived her life committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ. In 1969 Ruthie was married to the love of her life, Charles Lewis Edson Jr. (United States Air-Force - Retired). "Lew" and Ruthie built the home of their dreams in East Sullivan New Hampshire where they lived together for many wonderful years.
