Yvette Depelteau Obituary

Yvette passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at the age of 94.

She was one of ten children born on June 12, 1930, in Manchester, NH to George and Ella Corriveau.

In her later years, she met her husband Lionel and married in October 1949, at St. Anne’s Church in Lawrence, MA.

Not knowing how she got the nickname “Betty” she certainly embraced the name and went with it. From then on everyone called her “Betty”

She was a dedicated hard working woman who worked in textile with her husband for many years. She continued working even after her husband passed in 1983, after 34 wonderful years of marriage.

She retired at the age of 62 and enjoyed socializing, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were the light of her life. Her friends were a big part of her life were they enjoyed great laughs and wonderful stories.

She truly embraced life and always had a positive outlook no matter the situation. Her true passion was to spread laughter and joy with everyone around her.

She is survived by her son, Denis Depelteau, his wife Debra, daughter, Joan Lacourse and her husband, Richard and her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

"Mrs. D" was one of a kind, a truly beautiful soul. She was one of the most positive people I knew, always choosing joy over anything else. She will be missed.

Betty, you´re the best. Always upbeat, always a smile on your face. You never let anything get in your way and I respect you for that. Rest well.

What a beautiful picture of dear Aunt Betty. Although she was my beloved God Mother, I too have always known her as aunt Betty. To My dear cousins, know that your mom was loved by more people than we know. Her beautiful smile lives on in you & forever in my mind & heart. No matter your age, we only have 1 mother. My heart & love are with you as your mom joins the Corriveau clan of angels. Much love Susan Turcotte St.Cyr
