Charles Elumbaugh Obituary

Caldwell - In the saga of a life lived with love:

Charles "Chuck" Dwayne Elumbaugh entered the world beneath the Arkansas sky on December 6, 1946. After 77 years of gathering wisdom, he bid farewell to this earthly realm on August 5, 2024, embraced by the gentle touch of nature.

Pledging his devotion to his beloved Cheryl on June 12, 1966, Chuck began a journey enriched with knowledge and dedication. Transitioning from the esteemed halls of San Bernardino High School to Skadrons Business College, he gained a profound understanding of Business Administration, guiding his path ahead.

Beyond the academic realms, Chuck embraced the role of a courageous warrior, serving with honor in the Vietnam War under the Army's flag. After his military service, he explored the oil fields before finding peace in Idaho's landscape in 1970. There, he transitioned into agriculture, later showcasing his expertise in the construction field as a respected General Contractor until retiring in 2022.

His charitable efforts illuminated the community of Marsing, Idaho, where his contributions to the city's Plan Review Committee and support for various sports teams in the Treasure Valley held significant value.

In his personal relationships, Chuck found comfort in the company of Cheryl, his devoted wife, and his cherished sister Vikki. As a patriarch to his sons Bryon, Kenneth, and Bradley, his legacy flourished through their unions with Betty, Brandi, and Katie. Grandchildren Mark Sheldon, Daniel Elumbaugh, Shaylann Elumbaugh, Melissa Elumbaugh, Aaiden Elumbaugh, Ashdan Elumbaugh, McKenzee Elumbaugh, and great-grandchildren Tegan Elumbaugh, Declan Elubmbaugh, and Ara Stone are all a testament to his lasting legacy.

His varied interests painted a colorful picture filled with a passion for golf, fishing and camping, the excitement of gambling, the joy of hosting loved ones, and the art of grilling and smoking culinary delights. To the tunes of country music, he waltzed through life, showcasing his sportsmanship in football, with a special allegiance to BSU. His love for baseball was showcased while he was on the field playing and coaching baseball for his sons teams.

Enriched by the charm of Reno, Chuck found solace in the memories created during his visits, a realm of joy and relaxation.

As the final chapter approaches, his spirit rises to eternal realms, leaving behind a collection of cherished memories for those touched by his presence. In tribute to his legacy, a final game night awaits where laughter will resonate, camaraderie will flourish, and perhaps, a splendid hand will grace the table.

Rest in peace, esteemed Chuck. Your brilliance will forever illuminate the hearts of those who treasured the joy of your companionship.
