I enjoyed the time I got to spend with Father John. I looked forward to hearing his stories, asking him about his upbringing and helping him as one of his caregivers. He made me laugh, he made me cry but mostly he made me believe. I think of Father John often.

Our sincere sympathy to the Catholic Church, and Father John O'Sullivan's family. He taught English at Achimota School, Ghana, from 1962 to 1970. We were privileged to have been tutored by this brilliant and outspoken Catholic priest. He often read examples of really bad English from Ghana's newspapers to teach us what not to write. He also choose the worst essays to read out aloud! He kept us on our toes and turned us into good English writers. We are deeply saddened by his passing. May Father John's dearest and beloved soul rest in eternal peace!
