Joel Culp Obituary

Joel H. Culp, 78, of Plainview passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jacob West officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

He was born to Joel and Amelia Culp on September 2, 1944 in Dodge City, Kansas. He married Sonja Sue Annett Wilkins on October 5, 1996 in Plainview, Texas. Joel graduated from Texas Tech University and Dallas institute of Funeral Service. He was an owner/ partner of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Amelia Culp; one son, Dutch Culp and one sister, Marilyn Neill.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja Sue Culp of Plainview, Texas; one son, Ted G. Culp; two step-sons, Dan Wilkins, Jr., Paul Wilkins; six grandchildren, Stephen Culp, Crosby Culp, Lance Wilkins, Westin Wilkins, Shelby Wilkins and Ryan Wilkins and four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church 205 w 8th St., Plainview, TX 79072 or Meals on Wheels 1402 Borger, Plainview, TX 79072.
