Wilma Noblett Obituary

Wilma Mae Noblett Wilma Mae Noblett, 82, of Plainview passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A visitation for family and friends will be from 7-8 p.m. today, Feb. 2, 2011, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Noblett was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Wheeler, Texas, to L.R. and Lee Etta Cruce. She married E.L. Noblett on Dec. 25, 1945, in Cotton Center. He preceded her in death in 2003. Wilma retired from Southwestern Public Service after 17 years of service and also worked for Meals on Wheels. She was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed all of the time she spent with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Noel of Plainview; her son, Gary Noblett and his wife, Marilyn, of Miami; a brother, James Cruce of Plainview; her grandchildren, Misti Fisher and her husband, Michael, of Midland and Shea Noblett of Memphis, Tenn.; and her great-grandchildren, Miles and Mitchel Fisher of Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Mike Noblett; her brothers, M.T. Cruce and Bo Cruce; and her sisters, Odessa Scribner, Wanda Standerfer and Doris Harper. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Road, Suite C, Plainview, TX 79072. Online condolences can be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mrs Noblett while working at HCSB. She was one of my customers. She was a sweet lady. I moved in '07 and just found out she passed. May God be help you with your loss.

Donna and Gary...so sorry to hear about your mom. She was always an inspiration - never complaining. Even as her own health deteriorated, she continued to "give" to others through Meals on Wheels. Prayers for your family during this time.
