Patrick Flood Obituary

Patrick Steven Flood was born to Lawrence and Mary Ann Flood on December 5, 1972 in Dunkirk, NY. He passed away at home peacefully in his sleep of a cardiac event on the evening of Sunday, September 21, 2025. Pat was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and fierce friend. To know him was to love him and everybody knew him. He was the life of the party and always knew how to get a laugh. Pat helped launch and operate for 30 years the family steel business, Strand Metals Service, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Upon expansion, he managed Palmetto State Steel in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He loved working with his hands and would do whatever necessary to get his customers anything they needed when they needed it. He was the ultimate people person. His biggest loves were his dogs and enjoying God's country outdoors, fresh and salt water fishing, hunting, and tinkering with his boat and car. While that life was good, time passed quickly, and he realized something was missing. Everyone was getting older- his parents, siblings, and especially his nephews and niece. He did not want to miss any more of those special moments so he moved back to Myrtle Beach, SC, in 2024 to be close to his family. He cherished that time, as did his family. Patrick predeceases his mother, Mary Ann Flood; his father, Lawrence Flood; his brother, Paul Flood and wife, Jennifer Flood; his nephews, Connor, Sean, and Collin Flood; his brother, Christopher Flood; his sister, Jeanne Flood Feldman and her husband, Christopher Feldman; and his nephew Jackson Feldman; and only niece, Reese Feldman; and finally his beloved black lab rescue, Luna. There will be a joy-filled celebration of Patrick's life and subsequent going home to be with his Lord and Savior. Visitation will be at McMillan Small Funeral Home located at 910 67th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC, this Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 3-5 pm. The funeral mass will take place in the Chapel at McMillan Small Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10 am. Graveside service will follow the funeral mass at 2pm at Holy Cross Cemetery on St. James Island at 604 Fort Johnson Rd, Charleston, SC 29412. Pallbearers are Connor Flood, Sean Flood, Collin Flood, and Jackson Feldman, along with his lifelong brotherly friends William "Will" McGhee, Ansley "Jay" Ray, and Lee Xanthakos. Memorial Funds and special contributions can be made in Patrick's name to the Grand Strand Humane Society or Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach to celebrate his love for animals, particularly dogs. Yesterday

We were saddened to hear of Patrick´s passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful and loving family. He was a great person that I was honored to know and spend time with as well as his entire family while growing up in Columbia. So many good memories and happy times spent at the Flood household. God bless and may you now rest in the loving arms of Jesus Christ Our Loving Savior.
Love, The McKenneys

Pat is a very special person to a lot of people. I don´t think many know the real reach he had and the impacts he made. I´ll make sure it gets shared

Pat had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He would always do anything he could to help no matter the situation. Rest in peace my CN brother!
