Mrs. Annie Rae Lee, age 83, wife of the late Prather Lee, formerly of Lumberton, NC and Myrtle Beach passed away May 27, 2013 at Agape Nursing Center surrounded by her family. Mrs. Lee was born August 31, 1929 in Lumberton, NC a daughter of the Homer Lawson and the Bertie Britt Lawson. She was a former member of Broad Ridge Baptist Church and currently a member of Oakey Swamp Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee was predeceased by four brothers, Edison Lawson, Edward "Runt" Lawson, Milton "Bo" Lawson, John Lawson, and one sister, Quintaline "Quin" Prevatte. Surviving Mrs. Lee are one son, Ferrell Lee and his wife Becky of Conway, one daughter, Linda Grainger and her husband Donald of Conway, one sister Natha Leigh Britt of Lumberton, NC, four grandchildren, Olivia Graham and her husband Daryl of Conway, Scarlet Lee and her fiancé Jody Whittington of Green Sea, Rebecca Shelley and her husband Scott of Conway, Cameron Lee and his wife Traci of Conway, five great grandchildren, two special step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and Rev. Darren Hardwick officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service from 10:00-11:00AM. Visitation will also be held at Broad Ridge Baptist Church from 3:00-4:00PM Wednesday May 29, 2013 with a graveside service to follow. Memorials can be made to Oakey Swamp Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 3795 Juniper Bay Road Conway, SC 29527. Sign an online guestbook at www.johnsonfuneralhomeofaynor.com. Linda, Ferrell and family, I am so truly sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a special lady. I remember the good "ole days" when I visited in your home on Broad Ridge. Your mom and dad were special friends to my parents as well. I always looked forward to seeing her in her many visits to Broad Ridge Church over the years. I know you have a lot of special memories and those along with God love and grace will keep you thru the days ahead. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
