Boukje De Jong Obituary
Myrtle Beach
Boukje "Beatrice" De Jong age 83, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at her residence.
Born in the Netherlands, she was a daughter of the late Willem and Piertje Elgersma. Mrs. De Jong was a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Hinke De Jong, Lieuwkje Kingsma, Kerst Elgersma and Thomas Elgersma.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Taede De Jong of Myrtle Beach; children, David (Valeria) De Jong of Brazil, Willem (Rosemarie) De Jong of Myrtle Beach, Christina (Thomas) Lazzaro of NJ, Patrick (Kimberly) De Jong of FL, Faye De Jong of FL and Kenneth De Jong of FL; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church with Reverend Tom Thornton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, PO Box 418 Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
