Cecil Creel Obituary

NORTH CHARLESTON | Cecil Creel, 65, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at a local hospital in Charleston.



Mr. Creel was born July 17, 1939 in Florence County, a son of Simon Creel and Ruby Creel. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and was of the Pentecostal faith.



Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Creel of North Charleston; a son, Wayne Creel of North Charleston; two daughters, Faye Skipper and Karen Helms, both of North Charleston; three brothers, Don Creel of Georgetown, Luke Creel and Bo Creel, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Peggy Warr and Clara Gainey, both of Andrews, Susie Morgan of Jacksonville, and Margaret Zirgess of Apply Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.



Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, at the Family Worship Center in Andrews. Burial will follow in the Lake Chapel Cemetery near Johnsonville, directed by Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
