Chris Petersen Obituary
Born Mar. 12, 1972 in Greenwood, a son of George Petersen and Marguerite Petersen Russell. Chris graduated from UNC-Charlotte and was a sales manager for Wellman, Inc. He was a member of Lake City Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Kim Petersen; children, Nathan and Paige Petersen, both of the home; father, George Petersen of Ninety-Six; mother, Marguerite Petersen Russell of Blairsville, Ga.; sister, Anne Howard of Greer.
Service will be 4 p.m., Tuesday, at Lake City Presbyterian Church with a visitation following the service. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Wolfe Funeral Home, Fort Mill.

Kim, Paige and Nathan - I just want you to know how very sorry I am and how much respect I had for Chris. He was my biggest cheerleader and that has inspired me to go on to do all I can to help find a cure for this disease while I can. The last line of Chris's last e-mail to me was "Jeanne, go find us a cure and I will be right behind you", and now I know he is! Love, Jeanne

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I was so saddened to hear the news while I was at home during Thanksgiving. I have known you my whole life and feel like I knew Chris that long too. He was definitely a special person and I will always remember the way he used to make me laugh. Original Benjamin's was a fun time and I will forever have those memories. I am sending you a HUGE hug right now. I hope to see you soon!
