Christopher Todd Wasserman, 48, passed away November 25, 2016 at his home. He was born December 28, 1967 in El Paso, TX a son of the late Richard Wasserman, Jr and Anne Winter Archbold Wasserman. A beloved brother and friend, Chris was an avid outdoorsman. He reveled in his time spent hiking and snowmobiling in Wyoming; as well as playing soccer, rugby, golf; and sailing and cycling in South Carolina. Chris was a devoted friend to his dogs upon whom he bestowed immeasurable love, particularly his great friend Buddy, a Golden Labrador, who predeceased him. His loyalty as a Steelers fan was surpassed only by that to his friends and family. Chris's passing brings to mind his uncle and kindred spirit, James Joyce Wasserman, whom we lost not long ago. The memory of their adventures together will always bring joy to those who were fortunate enough to know them. Survivors include: his Golden Lab, Chance; his three brothers and their wives: Craig and Sherry Wasserman, Scott and Leslie Wasserman of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric Wasserman and Catherine Maggio of Berkeley, CA; nephews and nieces: Brad, Calli, James, Jenna, Emma, & Isabel; his uncle, Thomas Wasserman and wife Kristine, of Ocean Ridge, Florida; and his aunt Lynne Jann and husband Art and cousins Leslie, Doug, and Tricia, of Connecticut. A service will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Crossdogs Rescue Ministry, 27668 Hwy 125, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.
