David Gates Obituary
Myrtle Beach
David Harold Gates age 72, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 22, 2013 after a long battle against cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and children.
Mr. Gates was born in Colver, PA to the late Awilda and David H. Gates. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from the Department of Defense after 33 years. After retirement, he worked for Lowes Home Improvement for 10 years. He was preceded in death by a brother Jay Gates.
He is survived by his wife Paulette, son David H. Gates of Nashville, TN, daughter Heather Daly of Catonsville, MD, grandsons J.P. and Eric Daly of MD, brother Bill (Carole) Gates of NY, sisters Elva Schmidt of NJ and June (Fred) Tulles of NJ, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel Murrells Inlet, SC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
