Debbie Doyle Obituary

Debbie Doyle

October 31, 1957 - August 1, 2024

North Myrtle Beach , South Carolina - Deborah Kay "Debbie" Doyle, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died suddenly at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Debbie was born in Conway, South Carolina on October 31, 1957, to Clyde and Isla Mae Rabon Doyle. She grew up in North Myrtle Beach when it was still a very small town where everyone knew each other. Debbie graduated from North Myrtle Beach High School in 1975, and attended Lees- McRae College and Coastal Carolina. It was at Coastal that Debbie met a handsome basketball player from Atlanta, Jim Cabe. They married and moved to Atlanta, and together they had a beautiful daughter, Christina Leigh Cabe. Christina was the love of Debbie's life. They shared a bond of which every mother and daughter would envy.

Debbie's personality was bigger than any room she ever entered. To say she was the life of the party is an understatement. She WAS the party! She had a taste for the finer things in life, including wines, but with that in mind, she never met a Sauvignon Blanc she did not like!

Debbie was also very kind, generous to a fault and always giving of her time and energy. She worked for Piedmont Hospital for over 40 years in the oncology department. She loved "her" patients and they loved her. She encouraged them, cried with them and advocated for them when they needed it. Her patients became a part of her family, and she always made an effort to follow up with them and their families after they had left the services of the oncology department.

Debbie retired from Piedmont in November, 2023 and returned to North Myrtle Beach to begin a new chapter in her life. She missed her daughter and grandchildren in Atlanta, but was happy to be back "home" with her family and her close friends, most of whom she had known most of her life. Back in NMB Debbie found great pleasure watching and listening to Rick Cannon perform at various venues in the area.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Christina Cabe, her grandson, Michael James Wilder, and granddaughter, Ryleigh Emilia Stockton all of Atlanta; brother Clyde Doyle, Jr. (Charlotte); beloved sister, Linda Witherspoon; nieces and nephews, Tassha, Amber, Joshua, Abigail, Caleb, Josiah, Bethany and Jonathon, her two cats, Sasha and Cabo and a close group of friends lovingly known as the NMB Girls-you know who you are.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Lee Funeral Home in Little River, SC. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers family and friends make a donation in memory of Debbie to the American Heart Association.

Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the Doyle family.
