Edward "Ed" Headington Brown
April 1, 1945 - April 29, 2022
North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Edward "Ed" Headington Brown, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, golf buddy, boat buddy and friend, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022.
Ed is survived by wife Teresa; son Nathaniel Brown of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter Lorrie (Mark) Brown of Deptford, NJ; son Jey Brown of Beachwood, OH; sister, Binney (Dave) Fouts of Boca Grande, FL and Orange Village, OH; step-son Nate (Tracy) Flowers of Longs, SC; grandchildren, Finnegan Brown, Nik Flowers, and Nina Flowers; nieces, Leslie (Jason) Brown Stockmaster, Katie (Andrew) Fouts Geffken, Julia (Henry) Fouts Swayne; nephews Timothy (Christine) Brown and Dan Fouts.
Ed was born in Cleveland, OH, on April 1, 1945 to Dr. Henry and Ruth Brown. He was predeceased by his parents, son Christopher Brown, and brother Henry Brown (Linda of Mentor, OH).
Ed graduated from DePauw University and started his lifetime career in the commercial truck industry. Ed held numerous executive positions with Volvo Trucks in various parts of the country, making close friends wherever he went. He retired from Bergey's Truck Center in December 2014.
Ed and Teresa were married in 2008 at his sister Binney's beautiful home in Cleveland, OH. They retired to Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC, from Harleysville, PA in 2012. Ed spent his retirement golfing, boating, driving his beloved Corvette – "The Beast," cooking fine food for family and friends, and doting on his family.
Ed was a member of the Ocean Drive Church of the Lost and Found in North Myrtle Beach, SC. His family takes comfort in knowing Ed is at home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Ocean Drive Church of the Lost and Found, 316 Main St., North Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, 5000 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC. McMillan-Small Funeral Home & Crematory of Myrtle Beach, SC is handling the funeral arrangements for the Brown family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Ed's name to the Ocean Drive Church of the Lost and Found – Music Ministry, 316Main St., North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
The family extends a special thank you to the Surgical/Trauma ICU nursing staff at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and also to Ed's dear friend, Charlie Walls.

Ed was a golf partner, friend and mentor. He competed as hard for a $2 Nassau as he did for a truck deal. He showed us there was time to work, time to play and always time to count our blessings. We will cherish our memories of him.
