Ellen Louise Bane, 75, of Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of Myrtle Beach, died March 8, 2011, in her home unexpectedly.
She was born February 14, 1936, in Waverly, Ohio, to the late Glenn H. and Goldie I. Boggs Oyer. She was the widow of William Thomas Bane, Sr.
She is survived by four children, William T. Bane, Jr., Michael A. (Jane) Bane, all of Chillicothe, Ohio, Sarah E. Miller, and Susan E. (Gary) Long, all of Frankfort; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother; and two sisters. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen E. Bane; and brothers, James Oyer and Ronald Oyer.
She had worked as a realtor in South Carolina and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville, under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
At her request, calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her name to the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
